The Princess cut is the second most popular cut shape. It can have 49 to 78 facets, but generally has 78 facets for greater brilliance It is a new cut of diamond since the early 1960’s. The Princess cut diamond has more facets than an Emerald Cut Diamond so it hides the imperfections. Also since there are more facets it tends to sparkle more.
